Buying and selling real estate in the age of Covid-19

May is usually a busy month for real estate. With the snow finally gone, sellers open up their homes to shoppers, and buyers are out in full force. However, in the age of Covid-19, some sellers feel unsure about listing, and buyers aren't finding homes from which to shop. 

We're here to share how you can safely buy or sell TODAY!

Real Estate Is Essential. The good news is that Governor Mills has classified Real Estate Agents as essential workers. EXIT Oceanside Realty continues to operate while following particular guidelines laid out by the Maine government. You can read the complete list of rules here. 

Buying & Selling Safely. At EXIT Oceanside Realty, our agents have many useful tools at their fingertips to help you sell or buy while limiting close contact. 

Personal Protection.  Our agents are required to wear a face covering, gloves, and booties when entering your home to help minimize any risk of passing on Covid-19. 

Guided Live Video Tours. We're limiting the frequency of showings by requiring buyers to take a live 'virtual' walk through with an agent. Once a buyer has virtually visited a home, they can request an in-person tour but will also be required to wear a face covering, gloves and booties inside.

Smart Signs. EXIT Oceanside Realty uses Smart Sign technology to allow shoppers who drives by your home, the ability to text your for- sale sign for more information and photos! We also utilize mobile business cards. EXIT Oceanside has been using this technology long before Covid-19 because we recognized the need to adapt our practices in a changing world.

Curbside Closings. In addition to offering drive-through closings, closing companies are utilizing online notarization when the customer is not in the same physical location as the notary public.
