Fall Decor Trends 2022

Pumpkin spice may have arrived weeks ago, but it's finally calendar-official: FALL!! If you are looking to update your seasonal decor and bring a bit of simplicity to your home this season’s hottest trends are really going to tickle your fancy.

Fall Trend #1: Warm Neutrals

According to the home design blog, Jane at Home, “Earth tones and warm neutrals are making a huge comeback in 2022, and that trend will continue to grow in popularity this fall.” Thankfully the colors in this palette, warm tones of sand, cinnamon, mushroom, rust, camel, terracotta, copper, oatmeal, and muted greens, will easily compliment your current decor.

Fall Trend #2: Woven Elements

One of the best ways to immediately elevate your decor is to layer textures and we find that woven pieces are a great way to do just that. Morgan and Shawn McBride of Charleston Crafted suggest using Rattan or Canning to “add that trending texture to your autumn decor.” You could also add a rustic woven carpet, blanket, or the fabulous woven leather pouf from Pottery Barn, pictured below.

Fall Trend #3: Natural Wood

Bringing natural elements inside has been a popular trend for a while. This season we are seeing this extending to lighter, natural wooden elements. The McBrides write in their blog, “Look for natural, light-colored wood tones…Consider things like twisted branches with a wall hanging from them or a coffee table made of driftwood.” While Jane at Home explains that, “with the growing desire for lighter, airier spaces, wood adds a much-needed grounding effect.” If you’re not looking to embrace the look without investing too deeply we love these candlesticks from Anthropologie and the simple side table from Wayfair.

Even if you’re not one to change out decor with the season these trends are neutral and natural enough to become standards in your home decor. What about you? How will you be decorating for the new season?
